Dean Atta Dean is a talented writer, poet and youth worker. In the past year he has performed his one-man show as part of the London’s Gaywise LGBT Arts Festival, featured as part of Channel 4’s Generation Next season in a ‘3 Minute Wonder’ about life as a Black gay man, and co-produced and directed a musical ‘Scratched Out’ at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. www.deanatta.com
LB Lb's a popular, quick witted in your face & out there lesbian stand up who's from Brixton is from a Jamaican family & the funniest bit (verbatim) is she's still alive. Her observations encompass her daily life, being a lone parent, working in mental health as well as snippets about she say's when she went insane for a year, a month & a week working as a council parking attendant. Lb also hosted a Poetry Slam in 2007 for Camden Black Workers Union at the Round house theatre Chalk farm for Black history month following a successfully funny half hour stint for UKBP 2007, writes humorous articles for M.O.C magazine "viva la difference" and is memorable for her spontaneous, wacky & sometimes controversial but frank take on many aspects her black gay life. She's feisty, original & NOT afraid of taking risks & recently co-hosted UKBP 2008.
Wise Thoughts Wise Thoughts designs and delivers unique arts initiatives and services that address the issues for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and sexual minority (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender - LGBT) communities. Based in Haringey, they administer the local LGBT Network. They are the organisers of the Gaywise LGBT Arts Festival, and have produced exhibitions, arts workshops and training about the challenges faced by LGBT people from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds www.wisethoughts.org
