Mz Fontaine is a highly successful recording artist. In 2008 she released her latest album ‘Spoken Thoughts’, and appeared at Bootylicious, Pride London, ILGFA World Cup, Outburst and UK Black Pride. Her performances are electric and empowering.  In addition to being an artist, Mz Fontaine is also a business entrepreneur having founded an independent Label “Fondation Entertainment” catering for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual (LGBT) artistes in 2001. This label is now housed under the “Fondation Group of Companies“. Through Fondation Entertainment, Mz Fontaine has challenged homophobia and racism through working in schools and with youth groups, and worked to support young LGBT artists and musicians.

Phyll is a leading light behind UK Black Pride as its Managing Director; she is also one of the co-founder's of this organisation. Formerly a volunteer for BLUK (black lesbians in the UK), she is now currently, offering support to people within the Black LGBT community who are / fall into a vulnerable group.  Phyll has worked tirelessly in bringing together volunteers, artists and the wider community for UK Black Pride and other such events. She was also the compere along with Cyril Nri at the 2007 Black LGBT Community Awards,

Phyll has a seat on the TUC Race Relations Committee and also holds various positions within the largest Civil Service Union PCS (Public & Commercial Services) & PCS Proud – the voice of LGBT members.

Phyll, with her warm hearted natured and genuine love of people, has worked to bring together men and women to support our common goals and talks of a vision that one day there will be unity amongst us!  www.ukblackpride.org.uk
